The companies Cestriom GmbH and N-Dect GmbH have developed the RFS device, an innovative system for demagnetizing roller bearing rings. The special feature is the magnetic fluxing with a rotating field and thus the utilization of the closed magnetic circuit of the ring. Demagnetization with rotating field coils RFS generates a very low and homogeneously distributed residual magnetism in the ring. These are optimal preconditions for subsequent eddy current testing procedures.
The RFS system is available as a stand-alone system for manual operation or for integration into automated processes.
The rotating field coils are also available directly integrated in the N-Dect Flexitest eddy current testing machines via N-Dect.
